About me

I am an illustrator, working and living in London. Though I was born in Watford, most of my formative years were spent in the quiet, leafy suburbs of Oadby in Leicestershire. This developed my continuing interest in animals and the natural world. Though I now have to travel a little to get to green spaces, even a nature lover can find sources of inspiration in London, sometimes in surprising places. After all, nature is all around us, all the time.

My work celebrates British culture, in particular its rural traditions, food, wildlife, history, folklore and festivals. For me, these things are important connections to the lives of my forebears, and are aspects of our culture that require preservation if they are to be remembered. I love discovering things that are eccentric, unusual or downright weird.
